Tune collaborates with Manhattan Rhythm Kings in a breathtaking revue of his remarkable career as Broadway’s quintessential Song & Dance Man

Nine-time Tony award winner, TOMMY TUNE, teams with his longtime collaborators, The Manhattan Rhythm Kings in Steps in Time, A Broadway Biography in Song and Dance in a one-night performance in San Antonio’s Majestic Theatre, Thursday, November 18, 2010. Curtain time is 8 p.m.

The performance in conjunction with a gala will benefit the Las Casas High School Scholarship for Excellence in the Performing Arts.

General admission tickets are on sale now and may be purchased at the Majestic box office at 226 East Houston Street, through Ticketmaster at 1-800-745-3000 or online at www.ticketmaster.com. Prices are $72.50 for front orchestra/suite seats; $57.50 for rear orchestra/mezzanine; $42.50 for balcony and $17.50 balcony for students.

Gala tickets at $500 or $250 may be purchased through Las Casas Foundation at 210-223-4343. Jocelyn Straus, founding chair of Las Casas Foundation is the chairman for the event. A $500 per person gala ticket includes cocktails and dinner in the Charline McCombs Empire Theatre (adjacent to the Majestic) and first priority seating at the performance. A $250 per person ticket includes hors d’oeuvres and cocktails at Bohanan’s Restaurant, across the street from the Majestic, and second priority seating.

Valet parking and a post-performance dessert reception at Bohanan’s Restaurant are part of both gala ticket packages.

Las Casas Scholarship Performance Competition has awarded more than $135,000 to San Antonio and area talented graduating high school seniors interested in pursuing higher education and careers in the performing arts. It is one of the few performing arts scholarship programs in the U.S. To date, students have been awarded between $1,500 and $10,000 to attend such prestigious schools as Otterbein University, the Manhattan School of Music and New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts.
