The Idea Fund Workshop

Calling all artists! Got a great idea but don't have the cash? Join us for a workshop on how to apply for (one of our favorite partners) The Idea Fund's third round of grants. The Idea Fund provides cash awards of $4,000 to 10 Texas-based, artist-generated or artist-centered projects that exemplify the unconventional, interventionist, conceptual, entrepreneurial, participatory, or guerrilla artistic practices that occur outside the traditional framework of support. 10.3 IAIR Community Potluck and Throwdown

Join Artpace on Thursday, September 30 at 6pm to welcome the 10.3 IAIR participants Henning Bohl, Roy McMakin, and Adam Schreiber! We have been showing them around San Antonio and we want to introduce them to YOU! Bring a dish that serves 12-15 and learn more about their plans for their Artpace projects. You can also choose to participate in the always popular throwdown by adding peppers to your potluck dish! Our celebrity guest judges will vote for their favorites and award them a free membership in addition to some other exciting prizes! RSVP on Facebook today!

 

CHALK IT UP TO LILY'S

 

Just when we thought Lily's Cookies couldn't get any better, they did. Artpace is taking over the store for a day and giving you all a preview of Chalk it Up! With fun activities for your family and a chance to check out some chalk join us at Lily's this Saturday, October 2 from 12-4 to get a taste of what's to come! Even better, Lily's has generously pledged to donate a portion of the proceeds to Artpace! So you have a wonderful excuse to buy something sweet this weekend. See you all there for the fun!
 

JOAN OSBORNE FOR ARTPACE

  One of Texas' best venues for great live music, Sengelmann Hall, is presenting Joan Osborne live in concert on October 15, 2010 and has decided to honor Artpace by donating a portion of the proceeds! We are so excited and think you should check out the show and support live music and Artpace! If you haven't been to Sengelmann Hall, it is one of our favorite spots! Check it out!
